Pir Shabda Kahn


Shabda Kahn

This year Pir Shabda Kahn will lead us in spiritual dance and song.  Pir Shabda Khan has been a Sufi since 1969 and spent 24 years as a classical vocalist studying Chisti Sufi Music with the late North Indian Master Pandit Pran Nath. He was a student of the late Sufi master Murshid Samuel Lewis, the founder of the Dances of Universal Peace and worked closely with the great American Mystic, Joe Miller. He is also a disciple of the illustrious Tibetan Buddhist Master, the 12th Tai Situpa Rinpoche. Shabda is currently the Pir (Spiritual Head) of the Sufi Ruhaniat International and the Director of the Chisti Sabri School of Music.

Tamam Kahn


Tamam Kahn is a poet and an extraordinary storyteller, as well as a senior teacher in the Sufi Ruhaniat International. Tamam will be sharing from her recently published book “Untold: A History of the Wives of Prophet Muhammad,” a book that brings Muhammad’s wives and daughters out of the shadows and into the light.” Her deep insight offers a new perspective on the role women have played in spirituality.

Shahabuddin Less


Shahabuddin Less has been a senior teacher in the Sufi Order International for over 37 years. Participants in his workshops and seminars throughout the world experience a depth of spiritual insight and profound inner attunement. He is the spiritual guide and founder of Rising Tide International a spiritual center in Sarasota, Florida and the author of “Universal Meditations: Recipes for a Peaceful Mind”


Yves Oberlin


Yves Oberlin’s understanding of yoga is based on over 20 years of personal practice and study with some of the best yoga instructors in the world including Gabriella Giubilaro and Manouso Manos. He has also studied with the Iyengar family in Poona India as well as with the great yogi and meditation master Swami Sunderanand of Gangotri. He teaches in Austin Texas as well as Switzerland, Germany, Poland and Canada. Yves is a certified Iyengar teacher.
